From October 23rd, 2013 will be in bookstores the Gianni Bozzacchi autobiography published by Castelvecchi.
The famous photographer of the couple Liz Taylor and Richard Burton tells us about his career through the black and white pictures from the golden age of the international jet set.
Limelight, jet set, celebrities, “dolce vita” are the ingredients of a life lived to the fullest, but as Bozzacchi points out several times in the book, who more than any other has an impact on his life was his family. The vision of man rather than the photographer, proud to be a father and husband. Many, in fact, are the photos that show his 4 children.
The path that takes place between the pages has as its starting point the black and white photo of Bozzacchi’s father Bruno, who was also a photographer, who took the photos of the family after the war, up to the full and bright colors of our days with whom Gianni has portrayed his children, three girls and one boy.
A career full of successes, appreciations and golden memories, lived around the world following two stars as Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, but with the constant fear to be “unmasked” as a simple village boy left Rome in the 60s.
The strength of the book lies in its narration smooth and clean. A familiar vocabulary declined at the time of the jet set, when the magazines were more interested in glamor rather than gossip.
From this mixture between personal e professional life, Gianni traces his history and remember the best moments of his life.
